LOWVILLE- Republican Challenger Jeffery Tompkins appears to hold a slight edge over Lewis County District Attorney incumbent Leanne Moser, but the results are still not official.
These updates are according to the latest from WWNY-TV.
As of this week, officials told reporters that, in theory, there were only seven military ballots left to count, with a deadline of Tuesday, November 21 to arrive.
On Wednesday, it’s reported that four additional absentee ballots were counted, with Tompkins and Moser splitting them evenly.
As of this report, officials said Tompkins had an edge of 52 votes over Moser. That’s compared to 65 on election night, before officials began sorting through absentee and other ballots.
It’s reported that Lewis County Board Elections is aimed to do a re-count of all votes pertaining to the DA race.
