WASHINGTON & NEW YORK- U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) says that authorities are investigating a string of bomb threats that were made against a number of his New York offices on Monday.
In a released statement, Schumer officials said they received an email from an address alleging the 2020 election was rigged. The email included a subject line: “MAGA.”
“As I have said many times, these kinds of violent threats have absolutely no place in our political system,” the Senator said in a responding statement. “No one—no public servant, no staff member, no constituent, no citizen—should ever be targeted for simply doing their job.”
These threats were reportedly received in Schumer’s offices in Binghamton, Rochester and out on Long Island.
As of this report, Schumer’s office did not mention any arrests, however; investigators are working to solve who is responsible.
