LOWVILLE- The man who pled guilty in June to vehicular manslaughter and aggravated DWI for killing someone in a Lewis County head-on crash last winter was sentenced Tuesday in court.

In the latest developments from WWNY-TV, Gabriel Moore, 51, of Constableville, NY will be spending 5 to 15-years in state prison.

Moore was originally charged with aggravated vehicular manslaughter, but Lewis County Judge Daniel King says the plea deal was arranged after County District Attorney Jeff Tompkins was wishy-washy over what called evidence and proof problems.

As previously reported, Moore crashed head-on into a pick-up on State Route 12 in the town of Martinsburg on the last day of January.

Mark Vaughn, who was driving the pick-up, died in the crash, while his wife, Debra, a passenger, survived.
