Two North Country area residents accused of criminally possessing controlled substance in Oneida County

VERONA- Authorities say two North Country area residents are accused of criminally possessing controlled substances.

During the early hours on Tuesday, the New York State Police (Oneida) announced the arrests of Travis J. Weiler, 42, of West Leyden, NY and Jeremy Nellenback, 42, of Boonville, NY for one misdemeanor count each of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.

Weiler was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third-degree.

Troopers said these charges were filed shortly before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in the town of Verona.

At press time, police said both Weiler and Nellenback were issued with appearance tickets.

There were no further details provided.
