LOWVILLE- There’s been a development regarding energy production in the North Country, as a Canadian company is showing interest in developing a facility in Lewis County that would convert condensed air into energy.

Details are still in the works, but the County Manager’s Office reports that ‘Hydroster’ is hoping to anchor an investment that would last up to three-quarters of a century.

Right now, officials say the company is filing necessary paperwork with New York State, with an ultimate goal establishing an energy facility in the town of Watson (near intersection of Kotel and Number Four Roads), or in the town of Croghan (near intersection of Belfort and Long Pond Roads).

We have arranged an on-air segment with County Manager, Timothy Hunt, to be aired in the coming days ahead, where he will share more specifics.
