
ROME- Two suspects from Oneida County are accused of felony larceny charges following an investigation over the summer at an area retail store.
On July 2, Sheriff’s Deputies began looking into a larceny complaint received from the Rome, NY Walmart.
Police were advised that an employee was caught under-scanning several items on multiple occasions for the same customer. According to police, the total value of those stolen items went north of $1,000.

Per their investigation, the Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests of two women on Wednesday. Gina A. Lavine, 33, and Susan M. Pratt, 49, both of Rome, NY were charged with felony grand larceny in the fourth-degree.
Both suspects were taken in for processing before being issued with appearance tickets, returnable to Rome City Court at a later date.
