Route-12 re-opens in Lowville following crash between vehicle and Amish buggy

LEWIS COUNTY- State Route 12 in the town of Lowville has re-opened in the wake of a serious accident last evening involving a car and an Amish buggy.

The New York State Police are currently handling the investigation, but officials from the Sheriff’s Office in Lowville, NY confirmed with us that the wreck occurred between the Number Three Road and Willow Grove Road.

Numerous emergency responders were on scene.

We don’t have any further details to share for the time being, but further developments are anticipated from the State Police.
