Schell Family Legacy Gift in Honor of Polly Schell

LOWVILLE- Lewis County Hospital Foundation has received an honorary donation from a local family, recognizing a passed love one and their dedicated service to local healthcare.

Polly Schell spent 30-years of her life as an Operating Room Nurse at Lewis County General. In loving honor of her memory, the Schell family has generously gifted a significant donation towards the Hospital Foundation.

The foundation has just started ramping up the public phase of their fundraising efforts to go towards the latest and ongoing capital improvement project. “This generous contribution will be directed towards enhancing the Surgical Pavilion, ensuring that future patients receive the same exceptional surgical care that Polly upheld throughout her career,” Foundation officials said in a released statement.

“If you worked with Polly or know the Schell family, we invite you to contribute to the Schell Family Legacy gift.”

Polly was Head OR Nurse until she retired in 1991.

The Schell family's recognition of Polly's contributions and their decision to make a gift for the new Operating Room facilities is a testament to their strong support of Lewis County General Hospital.
