School budget voting results, 2026

District taxpayers for schools all across the local region gathered at the polls on Tuesday to vote on their school budgets.

Here are the latest results we have gathered from around the North Country (*local to our coverage area):

Jefferson & Lewis Counties:

Beaver River CSD: $23.7 million budget approved by voters. Bus purchase and library levy increase propositions also approved. Board of Education voting (vote for three):

Holly Acuter: 363
Amy Baker: 286
Amanda Mattimore: 298
Travis Moser: 264

Carthage CSD: $82 million budget and proposed library funding approved by voters. Jonathan Schell reelected to the Board of Education. Jennifer Bossout and Mark Storms also elected to the Board of Education.

Copenhagen CSD: $12.7 million budget approved by voters. Board of Education voting (vote for two):

Lynn Murray: 73
Robert Stackel: 69

Harrisville CSD: $11.4 million budget approved by voters. Bus purchase proposition passed, however; Harrisville Free Library tax collection increase proposition defeated. Board of Education voting:

Cory Bearor: 131

Lowville Academy: $32 million budget approved by voters. Bus purchases, transport Head Start students and library levy increase propositions all approved. Board of Education voting (vote for three):

Stephanie Houser-Fouse: 239

South Lewis CSD: $35 million budget approved by voters. Bus purchase proposition approved. Board of Education voting (vote for three):

Lucy Austin: 206

Herkimer & Oneida Counties:

Adirondack CSD: Budget approved by voters. Michael Kramer and Sarah Teachout elected to Board of Education.

Holland Patent CSD: Voters said yes to the budget and propositions. Tatangelo and Phillips both elected to the Board of Education.

Remsen CSD: Voters approved the budget and proposition.

Poland CSD: Voters approved the budget. Chrisman was elected to the Board of Education.

Webb Union Free School District: Voters said yes to the budget and propositions. Morelli and VanValkenburg elected to the Board of Education.
