ALBANY, NY- On Monday, July 7, 2025, New York State Senator Mark Walczyk (R, C - 49 District) joined North Country News to share his reaction to the state's $50 million allotment of taxpayer funds to help with legal fees for migrants (see original transcript where Governor Hochul highlighted the funds).

"They don't have the attention, they don’t have the lawyers and that's why the State of New York is providing fifty-million dollars to cover legal services for people who are finding themselves in this situation," the Governor aid recently.

"We continue to do what we can to support the communities and the immigration coalitions and thank them for their work they're doing at this time."
