LEWIS COUNTY- A local man is faced with drug related accusations in the wake of a meth investigation, officials say.

Joshua J. Young, 31, of Lowville, NY was arrested last Friday by members of the Lewis County Drug Task Force. He is officially charged with three counts each of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third-degree and criminally possessing a controlled substance in the third-degree.

Young was taken into custody via a Lewis County Sealed Indictment Arrest Warrant.

Investigators say Young, who is a seven time convicted felon, was taken into custody while he reported to his parole officer.

He was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Daniel King and held on $500 cash bail. However, officials say that parole officials applied for and received a parole warrant detainer, which resulted in Young being held at the county jail.
