Several fire departments respond to major barn blaze Wednesday near Remsen

REMSEN- Several fire departments throughout Northern Oneida County responded to a major barn fire Wednesday near Remsen, NY.

For now, details still remain limited, but officials from Oneida County Emergency Dispatch say there was a structure fire reported shortly before 9:00 a.m. at 10224 Lake Julia Road.

Remsen, Barneveld, Forestport, Boonville, Stittville, Holland Patent, Poland and Floyd Fire Departments were all called for response.

The Sheriff’s Office and STaR Ambulance also responded.

When the first wave of firefighters arrived, they relayed the word to dispatch that there was a fully involved barn fire.

We have no official word if there were any animals involved, or if there were any human injuries reported.

We are waiting for official details to surface from emergency responders. We will update with anything new that comes in.
