
Numerous ‘No Kings’ protests were observed over the weekend throughout the Central New York and North Country areas.
These rallies, like the ones held a few months ago, consisted of folks here in the region expressing their dissatisfaction with the current Presidential administration.
Among several issues at hand, if you browse photos that have been shared across social media, one can conclude that ICE and their crackdown on those without proper citizenship, is a major point of focus for people who attended these rallies.
There was a gathering in Lowville, NY, which appeared to be larger in size than the one previously.
There were also rallies in the cities of Rome and Utica, NY. Numerous reports suggest that thousands of people attended the Rome and Utica rallies.
With another wave of these protests making their way across the nation, President Trump responded by simply saying: “I am not a King,”
We are not aware of any reports that involved violence from protests that were held locally.
