Sex offense investigation in Poland results in charges against Mohawk Valley area suspect

POLAND- A sex offense case in Herkimer County has resulted in charges filed against a resident from the Mohawk Valley.

On Wednesday, the New York State Police (Herkimer) arrested and charged Wayne J. Parry, 28, of Utica, NY with one felony count of sex abuse in the first-degree (sexual contact with child under the age of 11), along with one misdemeanor count each of forcible touching and acting in a manner injurious to a child (under 17).

According to Troopers, these charges all stem from a sex offense complaint filed on September 22 in the village of Poland, NY.

At press time, Parry’s arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.
