Kuyahoora Valley area resident charged with burglary, impaired driving: NYSP

NORWAY- A resident from the Kuyahoora Valley area is faced with a felony offense in Herkimer County.

During the late evening hours on Wednesday, the New York State Police (Herkimer) arrested and charged Christopher J. Allen, 38, of Newport, NY with one felony count of burglary in the second-degree.

Additionally in a separate blotter report, Troopers said that Allen was charged with operating a motor vehicle (while impaired by drugs – first offense).

Both of these charges were filed in the town of Norway. At press time, police said an investigation was pending.

An arrest status was not listed for Allen’s felony charge, but for the impaired driving offense, police said he was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
