SHERIFF'S DEPUTIES: Driver taken to Utica area hospital after crashing into tree in town of Boonville

BOONVILLE- A local resident from Northern Oneida County was injured in a one car motor vehicle accident Tuesday evening.

It happened on the Jackson Hill Road sometime shortly before 8:00 p.m. Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a cell phone crash notification.

Investigation revealed that Michael Crofoot, 22, of Ava, NY was driving a 2009 Chevrolet pickup. It is reported that Crofoot went off the roadway and collided with a tree.

Boonville Ambulance took Crofoot down to WYNN Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. A Deputy from the STOP DWI Unit was called to assist with the investigation, and the investigation is still ongoing as of this publication.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, the Boonville Fire Department, and Boonville Ambulance.
