
REMSEN- A side-swipe accident in Oneida County on Wednesday morning resulted in non-life threatening injuries.
It was sometime shortly before 10:00 a.m. when emergency services were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving an oversized load on State Route 365, town of Remsen.
According to investigation via the Sheriff’s Office, Lynda Briggs, 70, of Remsen, NY was heading west in a Ford Escape and ended up side-swiping an oncoming oversize load rig, which was transporting a mobile home.
Deputies said that Briggs failed to maintain her lane. Briggs was taken to Rome Hospital by North Star Ambulance with injuries that were described as “non-life threatening.”
Meanwhile, the driver of the oversized rig, Jeffery Miller, 49, of Fort Plain, NY reported no injuries.
Members from the New York State Police and Barneveld Fire Department assisted.
