
WEST TURIN- A Lewis County resident is faced with both felony and misdemeanor offenses for allegedly violating a court order.
Last Thursday, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged Simeon L. Kent Sr., 52, of Constableville, NY with one felony count each of criminal contempt in the first-degree and aggravated family offense, along with one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief in the fourth-degree.
Investigators determined that Kent Sr. was in violation of a Lewis County Family Court Order of Protection in the town of West Turin, which was signed by Judge King on September 2.
Further details were not specified, although police did mention that Kent Sr. has previously been convicted of criminal contempt.
Following an arraignment, Kent Sr. was remanded to the county jail, without bail.
