ON-AIR SEGMENT: North Country area attorney and Town Justice Candace Randall talks importance of voting in local elections

LOWVILLE- On Monday, September 15, 2025, North Country area attorney, Candace Randall, joined North Country News and discussed the importance of voter turnouts in local elections.

Specifically, Randall focused on a new law that will change the way local elections are done across New York. Starting in 2026, the vast majority of local, or "off-year" elections will directly coincide with the state and federal elections. 

State officials hope this move will help increase voter turnout for local elections.
