Snowmobiler lost consciousness following accident on Fourth Lake, DEC says

WEBB- Emergency responders were called to the scene of a snowmobile accident last Friday in the Western Adirondacks.

It happened some time shortly after 6:00 p.m. New York Forest Ranger Snye was on a routine snowmobile patrol when the initial reports surfaced from dispatch regarding a sled that crashed on Fourth Lake, town of Webb.

According to the weekly DEC Forest Ranger Highlights, the 58-year-old snowmobiler involved in this accident, who is from Pennsylvania, described neck, shoulder, rib and back pain while being evaluated by emergency personnel.

It’s reported that the snowmobiler lost consciousness after the crash.

The snowmobiler was ultimately taken to an awaiting ambulance.

Members from Eagle Bay and Inlet Fire Departments and Inlet EMS all assisted.
