Southern Lewis County resident charged with criminally possessing controlled substance, unlicensed operation: TROOPERS

TURIN- A local resident is accused of criminally possessing a controlled substance and unlicensed operation in Lewis County.

During the morning hours on Monday, the New York State Police (Lowville) arrested and charged Sarah J. Smith, 39, of Lyons Falls, NY with one misdemeanor count each of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third-degree.

According to Troopers, these charged were filed in the town of Turin.

At press time, Troopers said that Smith was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
