Boonville Millers Woods Road Fire August 2023

ONEIDA COUNTY- Investigators from New York State Police and Fire and looking into a blaze that destroyed a building Sunday night in Northern Oneida County.

The structure, located at 3051 Millers Woods Road, was fortunately unoccupied and no one was hurt, said Boonville Fire Chief Dave Pritchard Jr.

It happened sometime after 9:00 p.m.

The structure has been deemed a total loss. Additional details remain sparse, however; investigators from the State Police and State Fire are reportedly working to determine more information, including what may have been the primary cause.

Chief Pritchard Jr. told us this was a "stubborn fire" and was "very tough" to extinguish, but efforts were ultimately successful.

Members from Constableville, Forestport and Remsen Fire Departments provided mutual aid.

We will share another update if investigators release any new findings.
