State Police charge Lewis County man with criminal contempt

LOWVILLE- A North Country man is faced with a charge, which stems from reports of a domestic incident this week in Lewis County.

Jared J. Spaulding, 40, of Copenhagen, NY was arrested Monday night by the New York State Police (Lowville). He is officially charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree (disobeying court order).

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from an alleged domestic incident in the town of Lowville, which was reported earlier that evening.

At press time, police said Spaulding was released on his own recognizance.

There were no additional details to report.
