State Police charge local resident with felony criminal contempt in Boonville

BOONVILLE- A local resident is faced with a felony accusation stemming from reports of a domestic dispute in Northern Oneida County, authorities say.

Cody Nathaniel Rye, 29, of Port Leyden, NY was arrested Wednesday night by the New York State Police (Marcy). Rye is formally charged with one felony count of criminal contempt in the first-degree.

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a reported domestic dispute in the town of Boonville in July.

At press time, police said that Rye’s arrest status was listed as centralized arraignment.

There were no further details provided.
