
ONEIDA COUNTY- A local resident is accused of selling alcoholic beverages to a person under the age of 21 in the wake of the latest underage drinking compliance check throughout parts of Oneida County.
According to the New York State Police, Daniel H. Wossner Jr., 31, of Lee, NY is formally charged with unlawfully dealing with a child in the first-degree and prohibitive sale of alcohol to a person under 21.
This arrest stems from a compliance check at the Cliff’s store in Taberg, NY. The initiative was conducted on Tuesday, June 24.
There were eight establishments in total checked throughout Camden, Sylvan Beach and Taberg, NY during this enforcement period.
Two of these said establishments failed for compliance.
As a result of the initiative, the following locations were checked and found in compliance:
- Circle K, 1510 Main St, Sylvan Beach, NY.
- Dollar General, 1600 Main St Sylvan Beach, NY.
- Byrne Dairy, 16 Main St, Camden, NY.
- Fastrac, 24 Main St Camden, NY.
- Dollar General, 35 Main St, Camden, NY.
- New England Style Market, 4644 Rome Taberg Rd, Taberg, NY.
The following locations were found NOT to be in compliance with the laws dealing with the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 21:
- Sylvan Spirits, 1714 Main St, Sylvan Beach, NY. ***As a result, Diana M. Hansberger, age 73 from Blossvale, NY was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st degree (PL 260.20) and Prohibitive sale of alcohol to a person under twenty-one years old (ABC 65-1).***
- Cliff’s, 4094 St Rt 69, Taberg, NY.
