
ROME- A pair of local residents from the North Country face numerous drug related offenses in Oneida County, including felonies, authorities say.
Joseph B. Linkous, 37, of Constableville, NY and Melissa A. Williams, 37, also of Constableville, NY were arrested during the overnight hours early Friday by the New York State Police (Lee).
Both suspects are formally charged with one felony count each of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the fourth-degree (meth), along with misdemeanor counts of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second-degree.
Furthermore, Linkous was officially charged with one misdemeanor count each of false personation and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third-degree.
According to Troopers, these charges were all filed in the city of Rome, NY.
At press time, police said an investigation was pending and the arrest statuses for Linkous and Williams were both listed as held.
