State Police: Local resident faced with sex offense charges in Herkimer County

NORWAY- A resident from the Kuyahoora Valley area is faced with charges that stem from a reported sex offense case in Herkimer County, authorities say.

Ricky L. Carnright, 39, of Poland, NY was arrested Monday afternoon by the New York State Police (Herkimer). Carnright is officially charged with one misdemeanor count each of forcible touching, sex abuse in the third-degree and acting in a manner injurious to a child (under 17).

According to Troopers, these charges all stem from complaints filed on October 27 in the town of Norway.

At press time, police said an investigation was still pending.

An arrest status for Carnright was not provided as of this report.
