STATE POLICE: North Country resident charged with intoxicated driving in Jefferson County

RUTLAND- A local resident from the North Country area is accused of intoxicated driving in Jefferson County.

During the late hours Sunday night, the New York State Police (Carthage) arrested and charged Mikel James Derosia, 30, of Carthage, NY with one count each of DWI (first-offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).

Troopers say this arrest was made sometime shortly after 10:15 p.m. Sunday night in the town of Rutland.

At press time, police said that Derosia was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
