BOONVILLE- State Police investigators released a few more details regarding the wreck that resulted in a DWI arrest just outside the village of Boonville, NY late last Thursday.
As previously reported, Rhonda A. Baslow, 64, of Port Leyden, NY was arrested and charged with DWI. Police also tacked on a charge of failing to keep right.
It’s alleged that Baslow was the driver responsible for a 2013 Honda that smashed into a utility pole along State Route 294.
Police said there were four passengers in the vehicle when the wreck occurred, as two of them managed to escape and received an EMS evaluation.
Meanwhile, Baslow and another victim had to be rescued by emergency responders.
One backseat passenger was taken to Wynn Hospital for what was described as “minor” injuries.
While Troopers interviewed with Baslow, they allegedly noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.
Baslow soon failed field sobriety tests, which were administered on-scene, police said.
Following processing, Troopers said that Baslow was released on appearance tickets.
Boonville Fire Department and EMS assisted.
