STATE POLICE: Three charged in Herkimer County vehicle larceny investigation

NORWAY- A vehicle larceny investigation in Herkimer County has resulted in the arrest of three local suspects.

According to the New York State Police (Herkimer), Logan D. Shumway, 23, of Newport, NY is formally charged with one felony count of grand larceny of a motor vehicle in the fourth-degree and one misdemeanor count of conspiracy in the sixth-degree.

Troopers also charged Alyssa R. Barlow, 32, of Cold Brook, NY with one misdemeanor count each of petit larceny; conspiracy in the sixth-degree and criminal trespass in the third-degree.

Finally, Troopers charged Susan Steiger, 20, of Newport, NY with one misdemeanor count of criminally possessing stolen property in the fifth-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges all stem from a reported vehicle larceny investigation last month in the town of Norway.

At press time, authorities said that all three suspects were issued with appearance tickets.
