WASHINGTON, D.C.- Several Congressional members, including North Country Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21), have signed and sent a letter to the office of New York Governor Kathy Hochul calling on her to support the repeal of New York’s “Green Light” law.
According to Stefanik’s office, the Green Light law allows undocumented immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses in New York and prevents federal immigration officials from accessing the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles records without a search warrant.
The letter also accuses the Biden Administration of transporting illegal immigrants into the state.
“The dead of the night flights to Westchester County have now morphed into a multi-faceted travel agency with destinations elsewhere in New York, dealing striking blows to local resources,” the letter states.

“New Yorkers have no concrete information about what sort of vetting these migrants have gone through, why they are being relocated, where they will stay, who was involved in this decision-making process and so much more.”
