BOONVILLE- A domestic incident has resulted in charges filed against a local resident in Northern Oneida County, authorities say.

Dorothy Sherbeanou, 38, was arrested on Saturday by members of the Sheriff’s Office. Sherbeanou was initially charged by Sheriff’s Deputies for one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree.

It’s reported the charge stems from a domestic incident, which occurred in the village of Boonville, NY.

Specifically, police said there was an active stay away protection order in place, but while in custody, it’s alleged that Sherbeanou spit on Sheriff’s Deputies, thus resulting in a violation of harassment in the second-degree and another misdemeanor of obstructing governmental administration in the second-degree.

At press time, police said that Sherbeanou was processed and held for arraignment.

There were no further details provided.
