Suspect in Oneida County domestic incident allegedly possessed illegal firearm, police say

TRENTON- A domestic incident last week resulted in the arrest of a local resident, who stands accused of criminally possessing a firearm.

Henry Poczatek, 50, of Trenton, NY has been formally arrested and charged with criminally possessing a weapon.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a domestic dispute last Wednesday in the town of Trenton. During the investigation, police said they located an illegal firearm.

To be clear, Deputies said the firearm was not utilized or threatened to be used in any sort of way during the incident.

The County’s Criminal Investigations Unit finished out the case and ultimately secured the firearm.

At press time, authorities said that Poczatek was processed and awaited further arraignment proceedings.
