Town of Lee motorcycle accident results in death: Sheriff's Investigators

LEE- One person has died in the wake of a motorcycle accident this week in Oneida County.

Sheriff's Investigators say the wreck occurred sometime after midnight on Thursday on the Lee Center Taberg Road, town of Lee.

Through investigation, police determined that David J. Terry, 26, of Lee Center was heading west on a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle.

Due to what police said was high speeds on wet roadway conditions, Terry lost control of the motorcycle and crashed off the roadway.

Soon after emergency personnel arrived on-scene, Terry was then taken via AmCare Ambulance to Rome Hospital in critical condition.

However, Terry was soon transferred to SUNY Upstate Hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries sustained in the crash.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by member of the New York State Police, Lee Center Fire Department, and AmCare.
