TOWPD: Man caught driving with suspended driving privilege in Thendara

THENDARA- A traffic stop last Friday in the Western Adirondacks resulted in numerous charges filed against a man from the Central New York area, authorities say.

John E. Phelps, 59 of Liverpool, NY was arrested by the Town of Webb Police Department and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third-degree; unlicensed operator; unlawful window tint and failing to signal a turn for at-least 100-feet.

According to Chief of Police Ron Johnston, patrols stopped a vehicle that evening on State Route 28 in Thendara, NY after the driver was witnessed failing to signal a left-turn for at-least 100-feet.

It’s alleged that Phelps’ vehicle also had window tint darker than 70%.

Investigation revealed he was unlicensed and his New York driving privilege was revoked.

Phelps was released with appearance tickets, which are al returnable to Webb Town Court at a later date.
