TRAFFIC NOTICE: Bridge and culvert work underway on West Road near Turin; road will be restricted to local traffic only

LEWIS COUNTY- Bridge and culvert construction work is underway near Turin, NY, according to the Lewis County Highway Department.

Superintendent Timothy Hunt says this project started Monday on the West Road, between State Route 26 and Main Street in Turin.

County contractors are tasked with replacing a structure near snow ridge and then a structure near main street Turin.

During this period the road will be restricted to local traffic only. "We urge everyone to plan accordingly," Superintendent Hunt said.

"We anticipate the work will be completed by the end of October."
