Traffic stop in Lowville results in DWI arrest for New Jersey resident

LOWVILLE- An out of state resident is accused of intoxicated driving in Lewis County.

The New York State Police (Lowville) announced Friday night the arrest of Andrew A. Wecht, 59, of Andover, NJ with one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% or greater BAC).

According to Troopers, these charges were filed following a traffic stop Friday night in the town of Lowville.

At press time, police said that Wecht was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
