Traffic stop on North State Street leads to DWI arrest: LCSO

LOWVILLE- A traffic stop late Monday afternoon in Lowville, NY has led to DWI charges filed for a man who is from out of state, authorities say.

Timothy M. Codespoti, 63, of Monroe, CT is officially charged with DWI and an unspecified traffic infraction, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

It was right around 5:00 p.m. when deputies pulled a northbound 2006 Ford Explorer over on North State Street.

Upon investigation, police said Codespoti, the reported driver, appeared intoxicated. He subsequently failed field sobriety tests on scene.

During processing at the Public Safety Building, deputies said Codespoti registered a .10% BAC.

He was released with appearance tickets.

There were no further details available.
