UTICA- A local resident from Oneida County is faced with numerous charges following a traffic stop this week in the Mohawk Valley, including drug possession, authorities say.
Sierra N. Wood, 27, of Holland Patent, NY was arrested Wednesday morning by the New York State Police (Marcy). Wood is officially charged with two misdemeanor counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second-degree, along with one misdemeanor count each of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree and aggravated unlicensed operation in the second-degree (three or more suspensions).
According to Troopers, the arrest was made during a traffic stop shortly before 11:00 a.m. in the city of Utica, NY.
At press time, police said Wood was issued with an appearance ticket.
There were no further details provided to report.
