Troopers charge local resident with intoxicated driving in Southern Lewis County

LYONSDALE- A local resident is accused of intoxicated driving in Southern Lewis County, authorities say.

Roger A. Stefanchik, 58, of Port Leyden, NY was arrested Monday night by the New York State Police (Lowville). Stefanchik is formally charged with one count of DWI (first offense).

According to Troopers, the arrest was made in the town of Lyonsdale shortly before 9:00 p.m.

At press time, police said that Stefanchik was issued with an appearance ticket.
