TROOPERS: Herkimer County resident arrested on DWI charges in Newport

NEWPORT- A local resident from Herkimer County is accused of intoxicated driving.

Mica A. Alsheimer, 24, of Newport, NY was arrested early Tuesday by the New York State Police (Herkimer) for one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).

According to Troopers, the arrest was made in the town of Newport shortly before 2:00 a.m. Tuesday.

At press time, police did not update Alsheimer’s arrest status and said that an investigation was pending.

There were no further details provided.
