State Police charge Lewis County resident with intoxicated driving in town of Champion

CHAMPION- A North Country area resident is accused of intoxicated driving in Jefferson County.

Shortly after midnight Tuesday, the New York State Police (Carthage) arrested and charged Appollonia T. French, 39, of Harrisville, NY for one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).

According to Troopers, these charges were filed in the town of Champion.

At press time, police said that French was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
