Two-car accident at Shufelt’s results in Minor injuries: Remsen Fire Department

ONEIDA COUNTY- A two-car accident Tuesday morning in Remsen, NY resulted in minor injuries, emergency responders say.

Remsen Fire Department was called out to Shufelt’s Garage on Route 12 after 9-1-1 dispatchers were informed of an accident there.

Assistant Chief Scott Stirling told us one of the vehicles involved smashed into a gas pump; although no major damage or explosions occurred.

When asked, Assistant Chief Stirling could not describe exactly how the incident unfolded. With that being said, the New York State Police is handling the investigation.

Minor injuries were reported and there were vehicle occupants who were transported to area hospitals for additional evaluation.

Barneveld Fire Department responded on-scene to assist. There were no additional details available.
