BOONVILLE- An update has been released in the wake of Sunday night’s UTV crash in Northern Oneida County.

New York State Police Investigators have identified the driver involved in the incident as Bryan M. Postal, 54, of Boonville, NY.

As reported on Monday, the accident happened shortly after 9:00 p.m. on the River Road in the town of Boonville.

Upon arrival, Troopers said they found Postal trapped in an overturned 2022 Kawasaki UTV. He was soon rescued, but appeared to have a serious head injury.

Initial reports from 9-1-1 dispatch also suggested finger amputation, but the State Police did not confirm or reiterate that in their report.

Regardless, Postal was treated by Boonville Ambulance personnel before a trip in a Mercy Flight Helicopter to SUNY Upstate Medical Center.

As of this report, emergency officials said that Postal was last listed in critical, but stable condition.

According to the State Police, the case remains under investigation.
