BOONVILLE- The letter that was addressed to the Boonville Chamber regarding a request for its financial records, meeting minutes and other things, was not approved by the village.

This update from our previous story Friday morning comes from the village Mayor, Judith Dellerba.

On Thursday, the letter we received, which was a digital copy to be given to the chamber, included an official letter head. The Mayor acknowledged this, but told us specifically that message to the chamber was not officially approved by the village.

Mayor Dellerba made clear that the village does have means to request a copy of the Chamber’s annual financial report for funding purposes.

However, a request for meeting minutes, by-laws and a list of the board of directors are all not necessary for the village, the Mayor clarified.

On an annual basis, the Chamber receives a $2,500 donation from the village, Mayor Dellerba told us.
