LOWVILLE- District taxpayers for Lowville Academy School said no on Tuesday to a ballot proposition, which if passed would have allowed for the purchase of vacant land along East State Street at a cost not to exceed $200,000.
As we reported with the School Superintendent Rebecca Dunckel, the goal of this proposition would have been to ease parking ailments.
However, district taxpayers turned up at the polls on Tuesday, showing a stiff 326 opposing to 154 in favor, according to school officials.
