UTICA PD: Boonville resident accused of possessing suspected Cocaine during traffic stop

UTICA- A local resident from Northern Oneida County is faced with charges for allegedly possessing cocaine and other offenses following a traffic stop this week in the city.

It was 8:00 p.m. Monday evening when the Utica City Police Department stopped a vehicle near the corner of Cornelia and Aiken Streets.

The driver was formally identified as Michael Garramone, 64, of Boonville, NY. Police said they stopped Garramone for reported vehicle & traffic law violations, however; upon interviewing, it was discovered that Garramone's New York State driving privileges were suspended. 

Garramone was subsequently taken into custody and this is when police conducted a search, where they found significant quantities of what has been suspected to be cocaine.   

Garramone is officially charged with criminally possessing a controlled substance in the fourth-degree; criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree and various other unspecified vehicle and traffic law violations.
