BOONVILLE- Authorities have unveiled a few details regarding Monday’s police and emergency response in the village.
According to officials from the New York State Police Troop-D Headquarters, there was a welfare check called in at the intersection of State Route 12 and East Schuyler Street.
A passerby reportedly called 9-1-1 after witnessing what appeared to be a human body in Mill Creek.
At first, the bystander said the body appeared to be unresponsive, however; police arrived on-scene and emergency responders ultimately determined that the person was still alive.
Authorities confirm that it was a woman, but her name, age and home address were all not provided.
As of this report, police did not iterate or hint as to how the woman ended up down into the creek, but a Boonville Ambulance crew took her to Wynn Hospital for treatment.
State Police said the investigation remains ongoing and there were no further details provided to report.
