BOONVILLE- An update has come to light regarding this week’s accident on the West Leyden Road.
As originally reported, it happened shortly before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the New York State Police, a teenage subject was heading east on a 2021 Coleman mini-bike. The teen ended up losing control of the bike before crashing.
A medical helicopter was called, as the teen was transported out to SUNY Upstate with what the State Police described as “serious injuries.”
At press time, police did not mention any filed or pending charges stemming from this accident, however; it appears a combination of speed and insufficient tires were contributing factors.
Boonville Fire Department and Ambulance were called to assist, according to dispatchers.
