BOONVILLE- Customers who utilize the power grid from Boonville’s Municipal Commission should be aware that the planned power outages for this month have all been re-scheduled.

According to a news release, officials say the planned outages – which are required by New York’s Power Authority to upgrade the metering at the West Street substation – are now scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, September 12 and 13.

Both outages will last approximately from 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. A rain date has been penciled-in for Wednesday, September 14.

These outages were originally planned for July 19 and 20, but Municipal officials say temperature outlooks suggest hot weather next week – possibly near 90-degrees.

“We apologize for these outage and know all outages are a huge inconvenience to all customers,” the news releases stated.

“We hope that rescheduling until later in the year helps individuals with medical conditions and allows all customers proper notice and time to make arrangements.”
